To conclude our Juneteenth celebrations, Meetinghouse Revival invites Dr. Nina Gilbert, director of the Morehouse Center for Excellence in Education, to Corsicana for a special screening of her documentary, Belonging Beyond Brown. This documentary explores the lead-up to the 1954 Supreme Court case, Brown v. Board of Education, and the impact of integration on Black communities and schools. Join us for this screening at the historic Palace Theatre followed by an open discussion with Dr. Gilbert and local educators.
